Well, Christmas is all around us! Everybody is shopping trying to find the best gifts. Here in Krakow winter has come and it is white and cold. We all wonder if we are going to have white Christmas this year - finally after quite a while!

This Sunda we have two services. Our regular Sunday morning one and in the evening a special Carol Service. We are praying that many new people come to this evening one. Christmas is such a great opportunity to remind people why we are all celebrating! And to share the love of God with those around us.

We would like to wish you all our dear Friends blessed and joyful Christmas! May it the time filled with love and laughter. And for the coming year 2011 we wish you more of His presence! Thank you for your prayers and support!!! We love and appreciate you so much!

And so the fall has come. It is getting colder and I am not sure if I am ready for it! There is lots happening in the life of our church. With the new seazon we relounched diferent things we have been doing. Students started strong with free lunches for students every Sunday of October and social nights on Thursdays. Both events turned out to be a great success. We have between 20 and 30 people each time. We are believing for a breakthrough! And we are seeing something happening. Each Sunday there are new people coming. We keep praying for salvations.

Couple of weeks ago we finished 'ibelieve' course for all those who just started their journey with God. We have now 4 people who want to get baptised! We are planning our second water baptism in November.

God has been so good for us and we know there is so much more ahead! We are believing for even greater things for the church and for Krakow! Thank you for standing with us and for all your prayers and support.

Summer is over

Well, at least the weather outside our window says so. It is pouring rain and pretty cold for the last days of August. I hope it is just a temporary thing and we will still have some sunshine!

In Poland summer vacation ends 1 of September. Kids start school and most people are back from their summer holidays. It is also a new seazon in the life of our church. Few new families have moved to Krakow, students will be back soon and we are ready for what God has prepared for us. On the 12 we are begining the course for new believers. There are a few people who got saved recently and want to be baptised and so after the three week course we will have our second water baptism in Krakow City Church. We are also relounching our life groups. We'll be meeting in two locations in the city. This year there will be more university students in the church and so we want to start strong from the very begining of the semester to be able to have better influence on the students world of Krakow.

Thank you for all your prayers. It is so good to know there are people all over the world who believe with us for a great church in this most beautiful city in Poland.

Well, it is hard to believe, but Krakow City Church is one year old!!!! How the time flies.... This coming Sunday, May 16th, we are celebrating our first birthday. It has been a great year. Full of challenges, God encounters, surprises and new friendships. We could see many people coming to know Christ and that is the most rewarding thing! However we know that the best is yet to come! We are expecting the second year to be way better! We want to see more breakthroughs, more people getting saved and being connected to the church, more testimonies of God's goodness and love! We hope you will keep praying for us and with us and we will try and inform you about what is happening in the life of our church.

Being part of God's plan and team is such a privilege. We feel honoured to partner with Him in building His Kingdom. Thank you all for your support and warm comments and words of encouragement. They are so precious for us. You are a part of what we do here!

It was AWESOME! 500 young people gathered together to worship God and be equipped and filled with God's power and promises. We had two guest speakers - Pastor Mark Foster from Audacious City Church in Manchester, UK; and Pastor Jurgen Matthesius from Christian City Church Sandiego, USA. Their ministry was incredible and God moved in powerful way. People were getting saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, theu received dreams and were being called to ministry. We are so thankful to God for all He has done! And we know it is just the beginning, because as we keep telling the young people - RADYKALNI is not a conference, it is a lifestyle. So we are looking forward to hearing great stories of how God uses these beautiful young people to bring hope and love of God to the nation of Poland.

Thank you for all the prayers, we could feel them. What else can I say... God is sooooo good!!!!

Dear Friends,

It has been a long time since we last blogged. Please forgive us that recently we don't do it regularly. We entered a very busy time now and the last few weeks have been pretty hectic. Not mentioning the recent events in our country and with the volcanic ash in the air...

The church is doing good. We did DNA course for those who wants to be our partners. It was a great time and people are so excited. It is good to see how God is bringing people our way who are committed to our culture and the vision God has given us for Kraków.

In just two weeks we start our annual conference RADYKALNI. It begins on Friday April 30th and finishes on May 3rd. We are expecting great things and we know God is going to suprise us as He always does! We pray that everybody who comes will be changed by the grace and love of our Heavenly Father. Please pray with us for God to move in a powerful way, for many people to come and for God's protection for all the time of preparations and conference.

First water baptism in KCC!!!

Last Sunday we had our first water baptism at !KCC. Five young people decided to tell the world they want to live for God. It was an amazing time, we had over 80 people who came together to celebrate the goodness of God and the new beginning for those amazing five people.

Every week we see new people coming and our church family is growing. We see more and more people really commited in the life of the church. We keep praying for the new people and for the church to grow, so that more and more people could see how great is our God!

It's been already a year since we started our journey that is called Kraków City Church! Amazing how the time flies... It has been a great year and what is exciting - this one is going to be even better! As a church we have now a week of fast and prayer for our church, our city and our nation. We know God has prepared amazing things for us, and now we want to prepare them.

Recently we have received a very encouraging letter and thought we would share some parts of it with you.

"I just wanted to thank you so much for KCC. Every week I think more and more that it is beyond what I had ever imagined church could really be like, and every week I am more and more amazed at how important KCC is becoming for me. I never believed I would be part of a church that genuinely felt good to be part of, where it would become such an important, precious (and fun) part of my life - and not just a nicely compartmentalised Christian part of my life! - and which I would go to out of anything other than duty on a Sunday morning. I never believed it would be possible to be in a church where I could truly be myself with other people there, and truly be myself there before God. At KCC I realised that my questions are fine, that I don't have to accept a "religion" that doesn't seem to make sense with the rest of my world, but rather God and I can do real life together. I'm beginning to finally understand that He's not trying to trip me up and is not just waiting for me to get it wrong . But He delights in doing me good and truly gives me life in abundance."

We pray that the church we are helping to build will never loose that and would always be a place where people will be discovering all that I just quoted. We thank God for His favour and inspiration and for such great people who join us on the journey and begin to live their lives to the full for Him!

Well, the year is almost over. It has been an incredible year! So much has happened... Here we are in Kraków planting a church that God has put in our hearts. And we are living the dream! We would like to thank you for all your prayers, encouragement and support. You can't imagine how much it all means to us. We know that everything we do needs to be based on prayer.

Since the beginning of the year we have started church meetings, we have seen many people coming to Christ. We have a group of about 30 people who identify with Kraków City Church and each Sunday we see now over 50 people on our meetings. It is more than we could imagine. Yet, it is just the beginning! We believe that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine and this is what we proclaim for 2010. We know He has prepared so much more for the new year and we are waiting with anticipation for all His plans to be revealed and unfolded. God is so good! And life with Him is such an adventure. We will keep you posted with all the great things God will do in our lives and in the wonderful city of Kraków. Year 2010 will be amazing and God will keep building His church in our beautiful city for His glory!

How are you our friends? We trust you are all doing well! We definatelly are :) Last week we (Zibi and Magda) had the privilege to be at Joyce Meyer's conference in Basel, Switzerland. We were also among 17 people envited for lunch and a special meeting with Joyce and Dave Meyer. It was a very encouraging and also stretching time. The best was when we could see 600 people giving their lives to Jesus during one meeting! It's time for Europe and we want to be in the middle of what God is doing here!

Krakow City Church is doing very well. We keep seeing new people coming every week, more people get involved during the Sunday meetings and want to help. We are also hoping for more musicians soon playing in our band. Our weekdays meetings are great, each week several people come to talk and share on how we can apply God's truths in our lives.

We are praying for breakthrough, for more people giving their lives to God, for more new people coming each week. Please join us in these prayers.

This Sunday was incredible. We could see the potential of Kraków City Church and what God is soon going to do among us. We are hosting a team from Audacious City Church in Manchester. 28 great young people came to help build the church in Kraków. They are part of the family and it was amazing to have them with us on a Sunday morning. They brought so much energy and life! Howver they were not the majority! Altogether there were 97 people on the meeting! Which means that over 60 people came to celebrate God with us. The atmosphere was great and people were touched by the love of our Lord. Lives have been transformed and more people could hear the good news. We are amazed how God is working and we know that it is just the beginning. It was good to see what it will be like soon, when there is more of us.

This week we are starting DNA course - designed to help people learn more about !KCC, our vision, values and culture. We are looking forward to those meeting and believe God is going to use them to encourage people to get involved in the life of our church.

September is almost finished and the weather in Kraków is gorgeous! Sun is shining and it's so beautiful. Last Sunday was great. We had over 40 people and the atmosphere was wanderful. Before the service we met with all the people who come early to help us set up and prepare for the meeting. It is amazing what God has already done! We started with maybe 8-10 people doing everything and now we have 20! And that's not everybody who is already a part of !KCC. We love seeing how God is sending people and changing their lives. It is such an honour to be a part of His work!

October is the University students come-back to Kraków. And so next Wednesday we start our students meetings. We prepare some activities to reach out to the freshmen and other students in the city. We believe God will help us meet them and show them His love.

This Thursday we meet for a second part of !I believe course. Our weekly meetings are great. People are so hungry! They are coming with expectancy and want to talk about their faith. We are loving it!!!

Serving God is a privilege and adventure and we can't wait to see everything God has prepared for this city and for us. Thank you for your prayers. It is so important to know there are people who believe with us and cover us with prayer! You are our heros!

Oh yes, I do believe! I believe God is for us and He is going to do even more and better than so far! On Thursday we had our first night of 'I believe' course. It is a course designed for the new believers, but since we are starting we thought it would be good to do it with everybody, so that we are all at the same page. The meeting was great! 18 people came and they loved it. Everybody participated in the conversation and the atmosphere was really good. We are so excited! We will have such meetings every fortnight. When we finish this course we'll start DNA course to tell people about our church - what we belive in, what are our core values and our culture. But we keep doing 'I believe' for all those God is going to send us in the coming months! And we believe there will be many of them!!! God is so good and Kraków will be the city of the King!

Welcome after a short break! We are doing good, have been away for a few days in August. But now we are back and we'll be letting you know how things are more regularly :)
Today we had our first service in a new venue. We moved to a different hotel. The room we got is bigger and there is a space for us to grow there. It is also in a good location, easy to get to for everybody. It was a very good meeting. There were 50 people, 11 of them were with us for the first time! We know we are entering a new seazon now. After the launch and summer time it is now September and God is going to suprise us once again with everything that coming months are going to bring.
The funny part is that Kraków City Church already has a reputation - people talk about us and want to know how we are doing. We say that planting this church is living the dream, enjoying a great adventure, and we hear that it is very rare.... And the best part is that Kraków City Church is bringing people closer to God and lives are being transformed. God is doing what He promised and we want to keep doing our part in partnering with the Lord Jesus in building His Church.

Hello our dear friends! We trust you are doing great and enjoy the summertime (at least those of you who live in the northern hemosphere ;). Kraków City church is doing very well. Although summer months are a bit slow and many people are on vacation, we are still getting good numbers. And the best part is that God is never on vacation! He is always at work and we can see His goodness and care in our lives. Each Sunday we get many praise reports and answered prayers. It is such an honour to serve such amazing God!

We are now getting ready for September and new things we want to launch in the autumn. We want to start reaching the students. They all come back to Kraków in September and October. So we pray now for ideas and strategy. We also want to start more systematic teaching for new believers. We will do it during our Thursdays' coffee nights every other week. It is so exciting! We can't wait to see what God is going to do in people's lives. We believe for more and more people coming to meet God through Kraków City Church. Because all we do is about God and people!

Summer is here! And the church is doing great. Last Sunday we had about 40 people again! Can't wait till September when everybody is back :) I am gald we'll be in a new venue, because this one might not be big enough for all the people God is going to send our way.

This week we are hosting a mission team from Canada. Together with us they distribute food for those in need, play sports with young guys and in the evenings musicians from the team do life concerts in one of Krakow's clubs. Last night was great - loads of people came and police said it was too loud! :) So tonight they will start an hour earlier.

It is good to do different actions in the city. People learn about !Krakow City Church and we have a chance to meet some new people. God is amazing and we know He has many people here. We just need to find a way to reach them. And we will! With His help nothing is impossible!

Yesterday was a great day. We had 42 people on the meeting. Everything was just amazing. The best thing though was to see new people who just started following Christ raising their hands in worship singing glory to the God Almighty! Powerful. We just love it. It is summer time and everybody is going away for vacation but God still sends people to KCC. And each Sunday whoever comes is a part of our church.

Every week we pray for specific needs and we also give praise reports of God's goodness and answered prayers. It is so good to see how God provides, supplies and answers our needs. People are getting jobs, are being healed, receive help. Our God is awesome and we so love serving Him in His Church.

Our dear Friends all over the world - sorry we haven't written in a while. Life is a bit crazy right now, we are finishing our house and moving in tomorrow!!!! And so we were pretty preoccupied with all it involves. I really can't wait to finally be in our own place!

Church is doing great! Each Sunday we have new people coming, people are responding to the messages and want to commit their lives to God. And that is why we do what we do - to connect people with God, His love and grace.

We keep praying for musicians and music instruments, as well as for new people coming every Sunday. And we want to come out to people who are waiting for the meaningful relationship with the Saviour. God is faithful and He is building His church!

Last Sunday was amazing. There were 40 of us. Great atmosphere. People came before the meeting and stayed after for coffee, tea and conversation. There was such a great buzz in the lobby after the meeting. God has been working - as always, and people were touched with His love and grace. 4 hands went up and people wanted to connect and reconnect with God. And that's what it is about! Every Sunday we are so thankful for every person - no matter if they are there just once or want to make KCC their home. Because this is church - people who come together to worship God and get closer with Him. We love it and look forward to all the great things that God has prepared for us in Kraków.

It is amazing, but it has been a month since we launched our services. And it has been great since then! Every weekend new people, each time decisions are being made and people are connected with God - this is why we are doing it. Last Sunday we had 36 people and 4 of them made decisions for Christ. Every time it happens we think - that's why we're here, that's what we live for. Last week we had two separete coffee nights - one for ladies and one for the guys. It was amazing. Both meetings were great, people are opening up, ask questions, begin to feel a part of church. We are overwhelemed by God's faithfulness and excited about the future. We pray the He suprises us more and more every time. God is GREAT!

Today was a great day. We had Glyn Barrett with us from Manchester. The atmosphere was really wonderful. There were 53 of us and 7 people made decissions for Christ! God is soooo good :) This week we are going to do something different - we will have a coffee night with the ladies on Thursday and the guys are going to meet on Friday. It will be fun :) Looking forward to that and to our next Sunday.

And so we had our third Sunday meeting. It was so good! We had a brilliant guest speaker from Brisbane, Australia - Paul Geerling. He was a great inspiration and an encouragement for everybody. God was touching the hearts and many people were strongly moved. Three decisions! It is amazing and we are loving Kraków City Church! Everybody is looking forward to the Thursday meeting now and next Sunday. I bet Gos is going to suprise us even more!

Yesterday we had our second meeting. It was sooooooo good! This time no invited guests or family. The 13 of us came with an expectation - what God is going to do today?!

17 people came!!! Some of them were with us last weekend, some came for the first time. Most stayed after the service to talk and have a coffee. It was awesome! We can't wait till Thursday! And next Sunday! And.... It is just so good to know, that God is in control and He is now fulfilling His plan for Kraków City Church. We believe in GREAT GOD and expect GREAT things :)

Yesterday we had our first meeting in a cafe. Four new people came!!! Three of them were with us on Sunday and one brought her friend for the coffee :) God is amazing. They all loved it and said they would come on Sunday again. It is so wnderful when we let Jesus build His church. It takes a lot of pressure off of us and enables us to do our part even better. We are all excited and looking forward to this coming Sunday. Maybe there won't be 160 people this time (yet!!!) but God will sure be there with us and those who come will be able to experience His love, grace and power. And that's why we love doing it!

And so it happened! We have launched Kraków City Church. Yesterday at 11:00 am Polish time we met for our first public church meeting. It was amazing. 160 people showed up! Our friends and families came to celebrate with us, but we had also guests from the city. 7 people made decisions to follow Christ!!! Few people expressed their interest in getting information about events organised by KCC and some want to make KCC their home church! We are so excited. On Thursday we are meeting in a coffee shop and looking forward to getting to know some of those who came on Sunday. God is so good. We know He will keep suprising us every week. It is so good to be a part of His plan for our nation!

This Sunday Kraków City Church goes public! :) We are all so excited about our first service this Sunday. It is amazing how fast it is all happening. This past Sunday we finished our conference. It was awesome - 650 delegates from all over Poland. God was moving in a powerful way and many lives have been changed. And the best is that now we will have it all happening every Sunday! Our God is wonderful and we know that as we pray and expect He will do miraculous things among us. And so our expectations are great and we believe for even greater things happening when KCC meets! Kraków - here we come!

Just a little over a week now till our first public service! And tomorrow our conference RADYKALNI begins. We are so excited. It is a separate event to the church launch, but everybody from Kraków City Church is involved. This year it is all new - new place, new venue, new people... Already we have doubled the registrations comparing to previous years! We know God is going to do wonderful things among those young people and we pray for His wisdom, guidance and protection for the whole conference. Please pray with us and let us all expect amazing reports of God's mirculous power working in the lives of Polish youth!

Few days ago when we met with our core team, we realised that in 3 weeks time we are launching the church!!! This is so exciting! Next week we are picking up invitations for our services from the printing house. It is amazing that soon there will be no more preparations for the start - we will actually be doing it! We can't wait to see all those unbelievable things God is going to do. We believe in BIG GOD and we want to see Him do BIG things in Kraków. For too long we have heard "it is too difficult". It is - for us, but not for our awesome God! And so we are looking forward to the miracles and healings, to lives being transformed and renewd and to the city being opened for the King. Kraków is called "the city of Polish kings". It is time for it to be known as the city of the King - Jesus Christ! And we want to have our part in making it happen.

It is April, spring has finally arrived and we have just one month left before we start our Sunday meetings. It is so exciting. Yesterday (it was Sunday) we had our first church picnic! The weather was gorgeous and so we decided to take some snacks and spend the afternoon outside. We went to the Wisła river and sat on the grass just oposit Wawel castle. It was beautiful - great day, great view, great people! We need to do it more often. Everybody is excited about the launch in May. We had an apportunity to take everybody to Manchester to Audacious City Church for them to see and experience the church culture we keep talking about. It was a great move. They loved it. And now we all look forward to everything that God has prepared for us here in Kraków. We know He has lots of people in this city and we pray that we can find a way to reach them for Christ.

We would like you to know more about what is going on here in Krakow, but also to get to know others from our team. So here is a short story from Jonny who soon will join us in Krakow City Church!

Just a few weeks ago I made the decision to uproot from my home town of Liverpool England, to take the incredible opportunity to be part of the church plant in the Polish city of Krakow. After many months of seeking God, weighing up my future and trying to understand at least 3 words of Polish….. I finally decided to take the plunge. How? When? And Why? I’m not sure.

But God gave me a glimpse of a Polish nation that is on the crest of revival, of a church that will not only be nation changing but world impacting, of a movement that will be unprecedented, defining generations to come….who am I to say no to that?

I still have a lot of planning, job seeking and house hunting to do, but I know faith is the vehicle which will get me to the promise. Come on Krakow!!!!

And so there are two more months left till we launch the church. Time is flying and we are getting ready! We are now working on everything that we need to prepare for the big start. Well, we did start already - we have our meetings each week. However May 10th is coming and that is the day we will start our Sunday meetings in a venue. Right now we meet on Sundays as a group to have a meal together and spend some time worshiping and talking. Our week is getting a bit full, but there are many things that need to be done. Next week we are going to have our first coffee night. We will invite our friends and meet somewhere in cafe in the city center. We want to do it every other week and hope to meet many new people through those nights.

Today we have signed documents for renting the venue for our services. We are excited to have a great place in the city center starting in May. God is amazing and we are constantly being surprised by His goodness and favour. It is wonderful to serve such powerful and loving God. And it is a huge privilege! Come on Kraków! We can't wait to see what God is going to do in our city.

So here we are.... finally we are in Kraków! We are glad to be back and are trying to rest after the long trip. We had amazing time visiting friends and churches however we are looking forward to all the work that is ahead of us.

Last few days we spent in Gdańsk. Zibi was one of the speakers on the winter youth event there. It was a great conference and young people loved it.

Right now we are working on the preparations for our conference RADYKALNI and getting ready for the church launch in May. Each week we are meeting as a team to pray and talk about Kraków City Church and all the plans and dreams. In a couple of weeks we are starting meetings in coffee shops. They will take place every two weeks and we are inviting our friends and people we meet here for those meetings.

We are now in snowy Canada. This Sunday we visited a church in Welland that has been supporting us for quite a while now. Zibi preached there and we were able to see the congregation and spend some time with them. It was really nice. We are very blessed to be a part of God's Family. And this Family is big and wonderful!

RADYKALNI is our annual conference for young Christians. This year for the first time it will be in Kraków. The dates for this year are: April 30th - May 3rd. It is a great challenge but even greater opportunity. Kraków City Church will be the main organizer of the conference. We are excited about what God is going to do among us and in our beautiful city. Pray with us for all the preparations and for the conference. We believe that young generation is the answer for the needs of our nation and the world. We want to inspire and equip them with the power of God to do great exploits for His Kingdom! Join us and have your part in this wonderful enterprise.

Visiting Friends

We just spent a weekend with our great friends Pastors Sam and Patricia Pawlak in San Bernardino, California. It was wonderful - sunshine, blue sky and really warm days :) We had amazing time with our friends and were able to relax and enjoy the sunny weather. On Sunday we visited San Bernardino Community Church where Sam introduced us and gave opportunity to share our dream and vision for Kraków City Church. We were hugely blessed. The church thinks of adopting us as missionaries! We are so thankful for all God has given us. He is so good and keeps surprising us. It is great to see how God is answering our prayers. We pray for support for us as a family and for the needs of Kraków City Church. We still need to raise money for that, but it is wonderful that God knows it and shows it through His amazing people. Who knows how He is going to surprise us this week?

We are now in Placerville, California. We are staying with our great friends Paul and Andrea and their girls. It is good to be here and get some rest after busy year and right before launching the church.

Last Friday we had the privilege to share about our plans and dreams for Kraków City Church at the meeting of a home group at Paul and Andrea's. It was a very nice and encouraging meeting. We prayed together and God spoke to us through these wonderful people. We are very grateful to Paul and Andrea and their group who decided to 'adopt' us and our church plant and became our partners in prayer for KCC, our team and family. It is amazing how God is connecting people all around the world to pray and believe for our great nation and the work He is doing here.

First meeting

This week Kraków City Church had the first meeting! The team met at home to pray and talk about our dreams for Kraków. Everybody is excited and we all look forward to all the wonderful things God has in store for us and our beautiful city. Everyday there are people praying for Kraków and its different districts. If you want to join us in the prayer we will greatly appreciate it. We know that this way we lay foundation for everything that is going to happen. We pray blessing over the city and people and seek God to hear His plans and strategies.

New Year, New Adventure

New Year is here and our great adventure has started! Our team is already in Kraków. They have moved in to the flats they are renting and are adjusting to the new environment. It is challenging but soooo exciting!

We are beginning our first meetings at home. We also want to cover the city with prayer. And so every day there will be someone walking for an hour and praying for God's blessing over the people of Kraków.

We (Zibi and Magda) have just visited Santa Cruz and spent weekend with our friends there. We visited their church - Elevation - and had a great time. It is so inspiring to be able to see great people doing great things for God. Now we are in Placerville with old friends of ours. We believe it will be a refreshing time for our family. We also pray that God would stir our hearts and speak to us about His dreams for Krakow.

Moving time

Christmas is all around us, people are decorating their houses, shopping and preparing tons of food. For us it is the time of packing and moving. We will be all packed before Christmas Eve and right after the holidays we will move out the rest of our furniture. It is happening - we are actually moving out of Wodzislaw. Our team is in similar situation, Gosia will be moving to Kraków on the 29th and Sławek and Monika right after New Year. Our great adventure is about to fully unfold. We are so excited and look forward to all the wonderful things God has prepared for us.

In this special time of the year we wish you more of our beautiful Lord Jesus in every moment of your lives. May Christmas be full of joy and peace and New Year filled with His blessings.

We have introduced our core team, but that is not everybody that is joining us in Krakow. There are already a few students living in Krakow and waiting for us to come! Among them there is Marta who is spreading the news about the new church and helping us with preparations for the church launch and our youth conference Radicals that will also take place in Krakow. Recently we found out that one more person wants to join us. We have been praying for someone who would be good with graphics and web design. Mateusz is doing all our graphics for Radicals and this week he told us he wants to be a part of Krakow City Church. God is amazing!

We also have good news regarding the apartments for Monika, Sławek and Gosia. They found great places that they can rent. We are really happy. We believe these apartments are from God, because they are what the girls dreamt about! It is wonderful to see how He has everything in His hands and will not let us down!

We want to thank you for all your prayers and for cheering for us! We are thankful for such wonderful friends. You don't even know how much it means for us. Pleas pray for our house now. Due to the difficulties with getting bank loans our situation got complicated. We need God to come through for us and we believe He will do that!

This week we had the privilege to be at Confluence in Manchester, UK. It is Youth Alive UK conference for youth pastors and leaders. We had an amazing time. God refreshed us through the wonderful atmosphere of praise and worship and was speaking to us through the ministry of the great speakers. Pastor Russell Evans from PlanetShakers Church in Melbourne, Sydney, was the main speaker. Once again we were blessed by his teaching and by the powerful anointing he is carrying. God used him to speak to us about Kraków sealing what he prophesied over us before. God is saying: "It is time for Kraków"!

The time spent in the presence of God during Confluence confirmed what we have already had in our hearts regarding the kind of church we want to see established in Kraków. We dream of church full of the power, glory and presence of Almighty God. We want it to be a Gateway for people to find THE WAY - Jesus Christ. We are believing for great things and praying that in all and through all we do He is glorified.

In an article printed in EMQ in April 2004 one country topped the list for having a need for church planting missionaries.

Based on the "N" Formula, this country is 10000 times more needy than Papua New Guinea or over 200 times more so than Mexico.

There cities in other countries with more missionaries than this entire country.

As a percentage of the population, ther eare 4 times less Evangelical Christians living in this country than there are in Saudi Arabia.

There are nearly 1 million people per church planting unit in this country.

Of the nearly 2500 counties in this country 2219 have no Evangelical church of any kind within their borders. Within these 2219 "white spots" a total of 600 people die each day - with little or no exposure to the gospel.

Magda was born in 1977 in Częstochowa, city in southern part of Poland known as 'spiritual capital of Poland for Catholics because of Black Madonna Shrine. Magda is not so much spoiled only child, was raised in a loving family. At the age of 16 she was exposed to other church than Catholic and she decided to stay in that church. In the spring of 1993 she gave her life to Jesus. She laughs that she is 'a by-product' of her uncle's (dad's brother) witnessing to her parents. First years in Christian life were not so strong, but she felt strongly that no matter what God should be number one in her life. She started helping in the children's ministry, later in the uni students' group and finally was asked to lead a youth group. And that's when her love for the youth started. In the year 2000 Magda became an administrator for the Southern Poland Church Planting School. In that time she also studied and lead the youth group.

Zibi was born in 1971. He is the middle one of three brothers and he has a little sister. He was born and raised in a town called Strzelce Opolskie, about half an hour drive from Opole. When he was 18 communism ended in Poland. But the most important thing is - that's when he gave his life to God. After his first year of studies in Wroclaw, he decided to go to a Bible School. He did a two-year missions course. After that he spent few months in England in Wycllife Centre. When he came back he moved to the mountains and worked for two years in a Christian holiday center. He organized camps for children and youth. Then he went to the US where he spent 6 months. He was involved in a Polish church in Chicago. After coming back he was offered a job in a Norther Poland Church Planting School that was based in Gdansk. He took a role of Short Term Missions Coordinator. That was in 1997. While working in the CP School Zibi started thinking of sending Polish teams to other nations. And he started working towards that. Within the next few years he sent and led groups to Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus, Germany, France and even England.

Magda and Zibi met for the first time in 1999 in Budapest during an annual conference for people involved in ministry through Next Level International - an organisation that started the church planting schools in Poland in cooperation with Pentecostal Church. Since then they were seeing each other once - twice a year because of the conference or other church planting events. Some time later they started working together coordinating a mission team from Canada that was doing a bit of a tour around Poland. They got to know one another better and at the beginning of 2003 Zibi decided to ask Magda if they could become something more than just friends :) As you can imagine she agreed and as a result of that they got engaged in June and married in November of 2003! At that time Magda lived in a town in Western Poland called Głogów, and Zibi lived in Gdańsk - six hours train ride. So there was no chance for 'dating'. They could see each other for a day or two every three-four weeks, usually because of some trainings, conferences or other church events.

As a couple they are a part of Home Missions team, where together few other great people they work to see a church planting movement in Poland. They also run Young Christians' conference called RADICALS. In January 2009 they are going to move to Kraków - second largest city in Poland. They feel God is calling them to plant a church there. They have a dream to start an influential church that will be relevant for the 21st century people and full of God's glory and power.

Since July 2007 Zibi and Magda are proud parents of Bartek who is their greatest gift from God. Bartek loves 'reading' books and playing with cars, but he also loves being on stage! He spent lots of time there while still in his mom's tummy. When Magda was pregnant she interpreted during RADICALS and later on women's conference with Christine Caine - just a month before Bartek was born. Bartek is crazy about his daddy. They love playing and laughing together.

Whatever Zibi, Magda and Bartek do - they do it together as a family, because that's how they see life - God put them together, gave them one another so that together they could serve Him and do great things for Him.

This is Zibi and Magda and we want to welcome you to our adventure - Krakow City Church. We have created this blog to provide information for our friends around the world about what we believe God is calling us to do. Here we will present information about Krakow, some statistics, our plans and development of the church we want to start. We hope this blog to be a source of information but also inspiration!

At the beginning of this year, after a time of prayer and seeking God, we decided to move to Krakow in 2009 to start a church there. A group of friends chose to join us and right now we have a team of 10 people who either are in Krakow or will move there with us in January.

So join us in this exciting journey! Here we go....

Welcome to Krakow - a city where tradition harmoniously blends with modernity. Where care for age-old heritage is accompanied by the development of modern technologies and creative invention of the inhabitants and people that work here, and the extensive offer of spending free time and genius loci of Krakow make it a fine city to live and work in.
Krakow is currently inhabited by approximately 760 thousand permanent residents, but every year it also becomes a home to several thousand or more people that live here temporarily, mainly students. Krakow is the second largest city in Poland. It is not only an administrative center of the Małopolskie Voivodship, but also an intra-regional scientific and economic center - a valuable partner for its investors. The economic significance of Krakow is reinforced by the demographic potential of the region - approximately 8 million people live within a 100 km radius of the city. An additional advantage is the fact that 60% of the inhabitants of our city are people under age 45. The intellectual potential of Krakow is created by 22 universities, nearly 20 thousand academic lecturers (including approximately 1 800 professors) and 190 thousand students.
